Groundworkers

Function

• Digging trenches and pits. You’ll also perform excavation works using a mini-excavator.
• Brick, concrete and asphalt works.
• Digging up pavements and subsequently restoring them to their original state.
• Performing sporadic excavation works using a mini excavator.
• Digging pits by hand (occasionally using a mini-excavator) in accordance with the supplied plans.
• Filling in and reinforcing the excavated pit following completion of the works.
• Restoring existing paving to its previous state.

Profile

• You’re physically fit and not afraid of heavy physical labour.
• You enjoy working outdoors: in all weathers.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility on and around construction sites: you adapt your driving style to the on-site traffic and terrain.
• Enthusiasm is more important than knowledge.
• You possess a genuine hands-on mentality; you see work that needs doing and jump in where necessary.
• You’re comfortable working independently, in a 2-strong team or larger groups.
• Fluxa values honesty, transparency and straight-forward communication.
• You also take good care of your van and work equipment.

Competences

• You’re in possession of a driving licence B, BE is a plus.
• You have previous experience in construction-related roles, preferably in excavation work.
• You hold VCA certification or are willing to obtain this.
• Experience with worksite machinery (mini-excavators etc.) is nice to have, but not a must.
• You can communicate in Dutch, French or English, verbally and in writing.
• Construction college leavers are actively encouraged to apply.

• Remuneration in accordance with PC 124, according to the experience and commitment you display.

• Set working hours, with commencement of on-site duties between 7am and 7.30am.
